Venue
The conference will be held at the Leonardo campus of Politecnico di Milano.
Talks will be held in the Rogers room (Aula Rogers) of Building 11 (Architettura). The address is Via Ampere 2.

Transportation
The venue is very close to green metro line 2 (M2) station “Piola”. Milan Central Station is just a few stops away on the same line. Single tickets cost 2.20€. You can buy a ticket from a ticket machine at most metro stations, using the ATM Milano app, or you can simply purchase your ticket by tapping your credit card. The campus can also be reached by tram or bus, and the nearby area is walkable. Check the local transport company’s website for more information.
Malpensa airport is connected to Central Station by train (Malpensa Express). Linate airport is served by metro line 4 (M4). All airports, including Orio al Serio, are connected to Central Station by private bus lines and taxis.

Reaching the venue from the airport
Milan has three airports, all served by private taxis. If you want to use public transportation, these are the instructions to reach the city center from each airport: 

  • Malpensa Airport (MXP) is connected to Central Station by train (13.00€) or by bus (10.00€). It will take you about 1 hour to reach the city center.  
  • Linate City Airport (LIN) is located 20 minutes away from the city center and is served by the blue metro line 4 (M4 – 2.20€)
  • Bergamo – Orio al Serio Airport (BGY) is approximately 1 hour from the city center and is served by private bus lines (~10.00-12.00€). 

Parking
Parking in the campus area is very limited and is not recommended.

Milan is a city full of incredible food and culture. Here are some places you can consider checking out while in Milan.
Cultural Attractions

  • The Last Supper: A mural by Leonardo da Vinci depicting Jesus and his disciples, located in the convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Unfortunately it seems like official tickets sold out on December 10, 2024 all the way through April, but maybe you can find a creative solution.
  • Castello Sforzesco: A historic Renaissance castle that houses several museums and art collections, including Michelangelo’s Rondanini Pietà.
  • Duomo di Milano: Milan’s Gothic cathedral, known for its intricate architecture and rooftop views of the city.
